[Get Involved] Cities and towns
As many of you may or may not know, there are big changes coming up in the near future. The upcoming weeks will be busy, and If you have not already read about this in the info thread, go here: http://forum.antigriefnation.com/t177-new-spawn-and-server-update-thread-builders-needed#1379
Cities:
With the new roleplay system there will follow some rapid changes on the server. First of all, there will be a larger focus on living in cities. All 4 kingdoms will have their capital city, as well as a powercentre such as a fortress. All this along with numerous smaller castles and camps.

For each city, there will be some leaders, these leaders define the town systems and they put up taxes to boost the city economy. They are also in charge for supplying the city millitia with weapons and armor.

In order to build a city you will, however need a license. Now this is the hardest part. Due to the matter of fact that we will only have a few major cities along with some smaller towns.
The kingdom/team leader will decide whether he want to build and govern his kingdom AND his capital, or let someone else do it.
This is all up to the leaders of the kingdom. However there will be possabilities to rule your own town.

With the new rpg system we want people to stay in groups, form millitias, explore the kingdoms, siege smaller castles and participate in warfare. And with such a wide spectre of features and so much freedom there will be possabilities to gain power quickly.
Once you have gained some power, whether it is in form of gold or just pure combat you will probably want to settle down. Me and other builders will be building a lot of unclaimed fortressess and castles throughout the kingdoms, these will have special marks in front of them (a bedrock block with a protected sign). These locations will be claimable. Once you have claimed a fortress, you must defend it. This will be a hard task as these fortresses will allow other players to siege it.
If you control a fortress long enough you will be able to apply for a ownership.

If you do not want to siege and defend a castle, you may want to build a town instead. This is a slightly harder task as licenses arent given away for free. These will cost a big amount of gold and will require a group of 7 players.
You will also have to send in a detailed APPLICATION to me or closeknight by PM here at forums. The application should contain: IGN name of leaders and party members, reason for applying, experience with former town or leaderships, experience with the world of agn (stories of your travels, this part is just for fun), a detailed text explaining why you should be able to govern your own town, wich kingdom you want it to be placed under, where you want it, city plans for public features (mines, armory, milittia etc. etc.) , tax level, a description of your planned guild banner (More about guilds later in the thread) and a Text concerning the theme of your planned city.

Guilds:
Guilds will be mini teams that the players will be able to create. A guild must:
-a guild name and slogan
-Be active ingame
-Have a custom designed banner to decorate their property
-Have a small ranking system with one or more leaders.
-Have a headquarters/emergency armory
-Have a clan-bank account

When all the criterias above is filled, congratulations you have your guild!
